Many "THANK YOU’S" From The Christmas Giving Campaigns
We received many thank you notes from the recipients of the N.O.W. (No One Wants) Christmas gifts and gift cards and the families of our Holy Cross Adopt-A-Family program! Many lives were made a little bit better this Christmas through these efforts to show God's love in our community. Here are just some of the notes we received:
Dear members of Holy Cross:
Thank you for the Christmas gifts and monetary gifts from your congregation. Also thank you for your ongoing collection of clothing for the COME Clothes Closet at First Immanuel. We would like to thank you for your loving support. May God’s Grace shine upon you.
Deanna Bye, Community Outreach Ministry Endeavor
First Immanuel Lutheran Church, San Jose
Thank you, Holy Cross Sew & Grow ChristCare group, for your generous gift of $790 to support God’s Kingdom work at Real Options! What a blessing and encouragement you are to our life-affirming work. Especially the fact that your hand-made beautiful quilts were auctioned off to support the work of the Lord. I know He values every stitch of your art work. May God bless and prosper you in health, strength, provision, peace and joy in 2019!
In His Grace, Valerie Hill, CEO Real Options
Dear Holy Cross and the Sew & Grow group:
Your generosity this holiday season means more families receive warm and safe shelter, healthy meals and goal oriented services, so they can get back on their feet and achieve autonomous lives. Thank you for your generous $790 gift from the Sew & Grow group and the continued contributions from Holy Cross throughout the year. Thank you for supporting families that are experiencing homelessness. You are creating a positive change in our community, and we couldn’t do this work without your help. Together, we can help families put homelessness behind them forever.
With warm regards and THANK YOU!
Beth Leary, Executive Director, San Jose Family Shelter, Family Supportive Housing
Dear Holy Cross Lutheran Church,
Thank you so very much for always coming through for our military veterans and their families during this Holy Season. Kathy Spenhoff was tremendous in helping orchestrate the Christmas party for the San Jose Vet Center—we thank you all for the gifts and gift cards for the needy veterans and their families. I would like to say “Thank You” to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and love.
Juanita Morales-Euresti, Director, San Jose Vet Center
