SUNDAY SCHOOL
Raising Children of Faith
Holy Cross provides a vibrant learning environment for children ranging from two years to 8th grade. Each Sunday the program mixes singing, a daily lesson and arts and crafts to help children learn of Jesus' tremendous love for them.
Classes start at 9:45 a.m. - right after the conclusion of the first service - and end at 10:45 a.m. in time for the 11:00 service. Two-year-olds meet in the Nursery, preschoolers through 5th grade meet in the Good News Building, and 6th through 8th graders meet in the Jr. High Room in the Celebration Center.
We are using a curriculum entitled "Growing in Christ." The two-year-old nursery class is a parents and toddler class that promotes family worship and faith building at the earliest level and enriches family dynamics. The elementary grade levels works with puppetry as well as basic fundamentals of catechism, prayer, creeds, law & gospel, and historical backgrounds. The morning is rounded out with music, crafts and snacks in addition to the weekly lesson and Scripture verses. Parents are always welcome to come in and visit their child's classroom and to volunteer with crafts and hands-on activities.
Jesus said, "Let the children come to me" and in that spirit we welcome all children whether members or not. Children are the future and there is no greater blessing than to teach them the love of Jesus Christ.
For more information and to download a registration form, please go to the "Info Center" tab at the top of our Home Page and select "Sunday School".
